Toole’s Garage Stockton is a family owned auto repair shop that offers full range of automotive repairs, maintenance services and diagnostics. We work on most Chevrolet models currently on the roads, including:
Chevrolet Blazer went through a number of metamorphoses, most recently becoming a midsize crossover. 2000 model had issues with fuel gage and fuel pump, but recent models report few problems.
Chevrolet Camaro – classified as “mid-size automobile”, Camaro is a lot more fun than that. 2010 Camaro had issue with premature timing chain wear and with airbag light coming on. 2013 and 2014 model years had a variety of electrical system problems. Most other model years report few issues.
Chevrolet Colorado, a midsize pickup truck, was introduced as a replacement for the legendary Chevy S-10. The biggest issue for Chevrolet Colorado has been transmission problems, which seem to just continue form one model year to another. Otherwise there are few persistent problem reports.
Chevrolet Corvette – 2017 Corvette had repeated reports of cracked wheel rims, while 2015 model year had occasional reports of transmission issues.
Chevrolet Cruze – 2011 Cruze was plagued by transmission problems, a/c and heater problems, and engine problems. Not a good year. Fortunately, since then problem reports have been steadily diminishing.
Chevrolet Equinox – at first a midsize, then a compact SUV, Equinox has found many fans. It did have a couple of bad years – 2006 saw reports of heater problems and engine issues, while 2010 through 2013 suffered from excessive oil consumption – so if you own one of these model years, it’s important to regularly check engine oil levels.
Chevrolet Impala – Impala has been with us for well over half a century, and it continues to please drivers throughout the US. The only persistent problems we hear about in the newer models are accessory problems and occasional electrical system problems.
Chevrolet Malibu – a midsize vehicle, has a long tradition behind it. It was first introduced in 1964, and is still going strong. 2008 and 2009 Malibu has interior accessory problems, while 2010 model year had transmission problems, and 2013 Malibu suffered from electrical system issues. Newer models report few problems.
Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500, 3500 – Chevy Silverado has been a workhorse for over two decades, and it keeps going strong. 2007 through 2011 Silverado suffered from excessive oil consumption, so it’s important to regularly check engine oil level.
Chevrolet Suburban name has been in continuous use since 1935. Currently in its iconic full size SUV incarnation, the Suburban is instantly recognizable. 2007 through 2011 model years had issues with excessive oil consumption, so check the engine oil regularly. 2015 Suburban had a/c failures, but most other model years report few if any problems.
Chevrolet Tahoe, a full size SUV has been with us since 1994. Among the recent models, only two model years stand out for problem reports: 2007 Tahoe had internal accessory problems and suffered from excessive oil consumption, and 2015 model year had a/c problems.
Chevrolet Traverse, a midsize crossover SUV, is highly rated for safety.
2010 and 2011 models had engine problems and power steering problems, while 2018 model year had transmission issues.
