Didn’t have the pleasure of stopping by but their phone etiquette is immaculate! I got the pleasure of speaking with doc who did a over the phone diagnostics (thank god cause my husband was about to throw the entire car into the brick wall lol) it was our starter. Called again later that day and mentioned his name and they transferred me right over to him. Unfortunately my sister made other arrangements before I knew it but doc was ready and willing to help me get our car there and the problem solved. I will definitely be visiting soon, just because this is the best experience with a garage I’ve ever had here in Stockton.

Thank you Nai for the great 5-star review. We appreciate your kind words about our phone etiquette. Looking forward to working with you in the future!

If you're reading the reviews here, pay attention to the bad ones, and note how the business minimizes complaints rather than takes responsibility. My girlfriend brought a BMW here for a pre-purchase inspection, as there wasn't many options in the area. Toole's gave her a report showing no issues and no reason to not purchase the vehicle. After driving the vehicle home, she noticed some obvious issues, and brought the vehicle to a BMW specialist who immediately found all sorts of major issues (underpressure in the turbocharger, an extremely expensive repair, major oil leak, removed trunk opener control unit) that should have been obvious with even a cursory 15 minute inspection. Toole's offered to refund the cost of the inspection and at the suggestion that they should take any more responsibility than that, became immediately hostile and confrontational. The BBB and BAR have become involved. This dealership doesn't do good work, won't stand by its own conclusions, and will get aggressive if you stand up for yourself. Seriously, go elsewhere.

The BBB and BAR have become involved. This dealership doesn't do good work, won't stand by its own conclusions, and will get aggressive if you stand up for yourself. Seriously, go elsewhere. EDIT: The garage has "responded" to this review by, again, taking no responsibility, minimizing, and completely mischaracterizing the situation. "Future maintenance items" does not include an underpressurized turbo engine that shuts off randomly and refuses to turn on, that two other shops immediately noticed. "Future maintenance items" does not include a completely missing trunk motor and control unit. Likewise, that the relevant agencies have no direct power over your shop does not indicate they agree that it was "due to a miscommunication", they just said that nothing directly can be done.

Dear Ethan, as per your girlfriend's request Toole’s Garage provided your girlfriend with a vehicle pre-purchase inspection report showing a handful of issues & recommendations. NOTE: These inspection reports generally do not provide future maintenance recommendations. Your girlfriend agreed with the report and had the issues & recommendations addressed at another shop. The other shop made additional future maintenance recommendations at that time. Your girlfriend then tried to get Toole’s Garage to pay for those future maintenance recommendations by filing complaints with every agency she could think of. I believe you and your girlfriend misunderstood the differences in the types of recommendations that were provided. Due to the misunderstanding, Toole’s Garage offered a full refund of the inspection report cost, which your girlfriend declined. To date: every agency that received a complaint from your girlfriend has agreed that Toole’s Garage offered a good service and the complaints were based on a possible misunderstanding. Toole’s Garage wishes you both the best in your future vehicle repair experiences.

(Translated by Google) I had my hybrid car because I didn't understand, they charged me $400 to diagnose it, it seemed a little expensive but they told me that because it was a hybrid it is more difficult to find the problem but okay because I needed to know what problem I had. The second day they called me saying that the coils didn't have any. spark and that the fuse was burning and they wanted $525 for more extra time $1000 for our diagnosis is an abuse the diagnosis is only paid once later they should charge for the repair they also said that my hybrid battery was bad and to replace it would cost $10k with possible extra charges in the end I had my car towed just like Yego paid $400 for an incomplete diagnosis (Original) Yebe mi áuto hybrido porque no entendía me cobraron $400 por diagnosticarlo semeiso un poco caro pero me dijeron que porque era un hybrido es más difícil para encontrar el problema pero asepte porque nesecitaba saver que problema tenia al segundo día me llamaron disiendo que las bobinas no tenían chispa y que en fusible se estaba quemando y querian $525 para más tiempo extra $1000 para nu diagnóstico es un abuso el diagnóstico solo se paga una ves después deben cobrar por la reparación también dijeron que mi batería hybrida estaba mala y para remplasarla costaría $10k con posibles cargos extras al final saque mi auto en grúa tal como Yego page $400 por un diagnóstico incompleto

I just got a below knee amputation and needed to get my van modified so I can have freedom. They were much more reasonable , compared to others. What was awesome was how fast it was done. They will be my mechanics for years to come

YOU BE THE JUDGE. 2009 Chevy 3500. Checked in September 25th. Both oil cooler lines underneath were leaking so I wanted them replaced. The mechanic wrapped the transmission hose in a corkscrew which will starve my transmission from getting any oil, and he ran the aluminum portion of the lines in such a way that they were rubbing against each other, and the lines were not mounted correctly causing the line to pop out of its support bracket. If left this way, it would have destroyed my transmission. And, the parts at an auto store would have only cost me about $130 for each oil cooler line set. They charged me about triple that per oil cooler line set. I brought the vehicle back for them to correct the shady workmanship. They did. But I asked, " What did you torque the bolts at?" They couldn't answer that question, because they didn't torque them! Every bolt on a vehicle has a specific manufacturer torque rating. Proper torque is a must. So I made them put my truck back on the lift to have it correctly torqued. I didn't ask for a discount when they said, " How can we make it up to you?" You know how you could have made it up to me? Get the work done right the first time so I don't have to lose an extra day of work bringing my truck back. This was so disappointing and frustrating because I mostly do my own DIY work on everything I own for this very reason. I only see two scenarios: either the mechanic is totally incompetent and had no idea what he was doing, or he intentionally tried to sabotage my transmission so that it will fail and I would have to return for something else to be fixed at a later date. The staff at the front desk were extremely professional, but that's not why we go to get our vehicle fixed; We want the mechanic to be extremely professional... and do it right...The first time! I will never ever go back to this place again. I don't trust them. I feel so sorry for everybody that brings their vehicle in there knowing that the mechanic who worked on my truck, is working on somebody else's vehicle. The biggest favor they can do for me and all their customers, is get rid of that mechanic, or send him back to school. If I could upload pictures I would.
